The regional government of Castilla-La Mancha has announced its commitment to promoting the region’s folklore and traditions throughout 2025. As part of these efforts, a training program on folklore will be launched in January, specifically aimed at educators across the region.

This initiative will be developed with the guidance of the Castilla-La Mancha Federation of Folklore Associations and will serve as a foundation for additional, more specialized training sessions in various regions, involving local folklore groups.

The Department of Culture also revealed that the long-awaited Regional Folklore Center, currently under intensive development, is projected to open by mid-2025. The Government Council of Castilla-La Mancha recently approved a budget adjustment exceeding half a million euros to continue construction of the center in Ciudad Real.

This significant announcement was made during the closing ceremony of the XXVI Regional Folklore Conferences of Castilla-La Mancha, held at the Francisco Nieva Theater in Valdepeñas, Ciudad Real.

In her address, a representative of the Department of Culture praised the importance of these conferences and their vital role in preserving the traditions that embody the cultural and ethnographic heritage of Castilla-La Mancha.
