According to official figures from Spain’s National Institute of Statistics, in the month of August, hotels in the region welcomed 216,910 guests, a 1.4 percent increase compared to the same month of the previous year, with a total of 381,385 regulated overnight stays.

This trend has allowed hotels in Castilla-La Mancha to consolidate their best summer in terms of nights booked and their second-best summer in terms of the number of guests. Between June, July, and August 2024, hotels in Castilla-La Mancha accommodated 635,799 travelers, 3.3 percent more than in the same period last year, marking the second-highest record in the series after 2019. As for overnight stays, the figure of 1,127,377 nights is the highest on record for this period in the region’s hotels, surpassing the previous record of 2022 by 2.7 percent, and 4.8 percent higher than last year.

Furthermore, throughout the year, hotels in Castilla-La Mancha have been achieving historic figures, with over 1.53 million travelers staying between January and August, and nearly 2.7 million overnight stays.
