More than 25,000 visitors have attended the show in the first half of 2024
The “Luz Cuenca” show is an artistic expression of the city’s cultural wealth, using animated images projected inside the Church of San Miguel, artistic lighting, and surround sound. The light illuminates the cultural heritage of Cuenca, the city’s artistic movements, and particularly its history through an immersive experience.
The ancient San Miguel temple takes us to the stars, offering a surprising audiovisual journey in an immersive experience that will, at times, leave us breathless. The city of Cuenca has a history closely linked to art, especially abstract art. For some time, this city was the meeting point for leaders of this movement, who found inspiration and an appropriate environment in this place. Decades later, digital art seems to be experiencing enormous growth and global acceptance, and in Cuenca, it has merged with the city’s ancient history to create a remarkable spectacle that more than 25,000 people have already enjoyed in the first half of the year.
The walls, vault, and ceiling provide the perfect setting for the recreations, which are accompanied by music that has been specifically orchestrated for the show, lasting approximately 15 minutes. Starting in September, you can enjoy this magnificent show after the summer break in July and August.
The delegate of Education, Culture and Sports of Castilla-La Mancha has praised the “tremendous number of visits” of a show that has also recently won the International Mondo-DR Awards 2024, presented in Las Vegas, United States.
